Morningside Hope – Heart for Art training, 6th September, 10am-3.30pm

Heart for Art training day: Tuesday 6th September, 10am – 3.30pm

You are warmly invited to this free event on Tuesday 6th September in the Church. The day will run from 10am until 3.30pm and lunch, morning coffee, afternoon tea and maybe even a welcome bacon roll (or vegetarian equivalent) will be provided. It is hoped that that as many as possible attend this day. Even if you might only volunteer with this part of the Morningside Hope Project, please come along. Heart for Art is the art workshop part of Morningside Hope which we plan to launch in October of this year. It will run every Tuesday Morning, 11am– 1pm. To do this we are planning on partnering with CrossReach, the social care wing of the Church of Scotland, who will take the lead on the workshops and provide this training. You don’t need any specialist knowledge or skill in terms of art, just a willingness to draw alongside people with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers. Please let Jacqui Lindsay, our pastoral assistant know if you plan to attend to help with catering arrangements. If you are keen to be part of this project but cannot attend this training session, please let Jacqui know that too.
