South East Edinburgh Foodbank Appeal
In April the SE Foodbank, based at Southhouse Broadway, supported 257 people and in May this increased to 318 people. As a result, and in common with other foodbanks throughout Scotland, the increase in demand has resulted in a serious reduction in the amount of food stocks held, to the extent that we have been unable to include some items in the parcels issued. At present, we desperately need cartons of UHT milk and tins of peas, carrots, meat, custard and rice pudding. Donations of these items would be hugely appreciated and can be placed in the plastic Foodbank container beneath the Church pigeonholes in the Braid Hall corridor. Thank you.
