Morningside Hope
Prior to Covid Morningside Parish Church was running a 12-month pilot project called “Music and Memories in Morningside” taking the form of a musical sing-a-long workshop followed by coffee, cake and a chat for those with a diagnosis of dementia and their partners or other family members who would accompany them. The Morningside Hope Project builds on this pilot, originally funded by Go For It funding from the Church of Scotland. Morningside Hope has been made possible by the generous 3 year grant awarded by Tor Christian Foundation alongside matched funding from Morningside Parish Church and was launched in January 2022.
Morningside Parish is committed to supporting the elderly within the congregation and the wider parish and this project, with its various activities, provides a means where this can be developed further.
