Join us for Holy Week at 7.30pm at Greenbank Parish Church

The Monday to Friday joint Holy Week services will be held in Greenbank Parish Church, 25^th – 29^th March at 7.30pm. The theme will be the places of the Holy Week story.

On Maundy Thursday, 28^th March, we share the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

On Good Friday, 29^th March there will be a musical contribution from the joint choirs.

Hello, just to confirm, my family and I had come for Good Friday service at 7.30 pm. I read in the church website that Handel’s Messaiah was being performed. But we saw that the doors were closed. We also walked down to Morningside parish just to be sure but that was also closed. Was Messaiah performed ? Just a bit sad that we missed it.

  I’m afraid you may have misread the notices. The Holy Week services from Monday to Friday were at Greenbank Parish Church, as the title of the posting indicates. Holy Saturday service was in Morningside Parish Church, and the Easter Sunday morning service was at 10.30am where the choir sang as its anthem the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah, not the whole Messiah.
